Meal Time

Rhett was so proud of his "water tower" at supper last night.  He put his grape on his water bottle and said, "Tower!"  Ben said, "Yeah, it's a tower."  Rhett said, Water tower!"  He's bright and funny!
Leah's just content to sit and smile at Rhett across the table.

Uppercase Living

I recently went to an Uppercase Living party.  It's those vinyl sticker wall decorations.  No commitment, they just peel right off.  I got a welcome sign for the living room, a cowgirl and cowboy one for the kids room, and one for above our bed.  I haven't done the kids room yet, but am pleased with the other 2.  Here's the one in our bedroom.  We've been in this house over 6 years and have never had anything on the wall in our room.  Now I'm wanting to add a picture of Ben and I from our wedding dance.  We'll see how long that takes to get up!

Movin' and a Shakin'

No wonder Leah is only in the 6th percentile for weight...  She can't sit still!  She loves her jump up, scoots, turns, and rolls all over the floor, and is beginning to get into Rhett's way and play with his toys.  She plays hard and sleeps hard too.  We're trying to wean her off of being swaddled.  Right now we're leaving one arm out for naps.  I think if we didn't swaddle her, she'd stay up and play all night in her crib!

TGIS

Thank Goodness It's Spring!  We have been enjoying the warmer weather the last few days.  Rhett has been busy playing with some of his birthday and Christmas presents.  He thinks is golf clubs are bats, loves to ride his bike (even go "off-roading" in the grass and rocks), and take wagon rides with Leah.

Today there was enough wind to fly his new Elmo kite.  He has gotten in the habit of wearing a cap outside.  He won't go out without it and makes sure Daddy is wearing one too.  He wanted to wear his hat to church today.  So we've been working on hat etiquette.

Both kids had check-ups this week and are doing fine with the exception of allergies.  Rhett weighs 28 lbs and is 35 inches tall (57th and 65th percentiles).  Leah weighs 13.3 lbs and is 25 inches long (6th and 27th percentiles).

The BIG Weekend

Last weekend we had almost all the family here for Leah's baby dedication at church and Rhett's birthday party.  We were lucky to have Great Grandma and Great  Grandad Fisher here from Garden City.  They hadn't seen Leah since she was just a few weeks old.

Rhett enjoyed his American Flag birthday.  He can repeat the Pledge of Allegiance now and doesn't miss a flag (or a stop sign) when we're out and about.

Too cute!

Just a few shots of my two adorable kids.  We enjoyed the nice weather on Sunday afternoon by playing outside and walking down to see our friends Chad, Betsy, and Braxton.

Rhett's Big Day

Rhett has to wait until this weekend for his birthday party but we celebrated as a family on Saturday.  We went to the farm store and saw baby chicks.  Aren't they cute?!  Rhett was able to pet one.  They also had puppies and were unloading horses when we were leaving so he got to pet a horse too.  Can you believe he's two already?  Stay tuned for pics from his American Flag themed party this weekend.

Jammies All Day

On the days that I stay home, we have frequently had All Day Jammies Day this winter.  On other days, Rhett holds onto his jammies when we try to change his diaper or clothes because he doesn't want to take them off.

Leah Jump Up

So we might be the only parents in the whole world who don't have an exercsaucer for their kids.  Rhett survived without one so we decided Leah would too.  Miss Joni at day care said she loves to be in one at her house.  I did break down and buy Leah a Jenny Jump Up a few weeks ago so she could get some more standing time in.  She loves it!  Rhett tries to spin her around or push her like a swing.  We encourage him to show her how to jump and this seems to entertain Leah.
