While the kids were sleeping on the way home from Oklahoma this weekend, Josh was quizzing Ben and I on state facts from the atlas.  We lost the car, several lollipops, and 2 pair of sunglasses to him.  He looked great in my rhinestone-studded sunglasses.  He was kind enough to let us keep most of what we lost when I embarrassed him with a spelling test over towns in Oklahoma.

Love and Respect

Ben and I are taking a class at church on the book, "Love and Respect."  We missed the first class while we were gone at Cindy's college graduation (I know, can you believe she's old enough to graduate from college?!)  Anyway, our homework is to read 3 chapters and keep a list.  Ben is supposed to write down anytime he feels I haven't respected him and I am supposed to write down any time I feel unloved.  Hopefully this doesn't bring on any fights!

Our Sunday School teachers of 8+ years have decided to step down from teaching our regular class.  We are so going to miss them in this role.  Merrill and Joyce have been great examples for Ben and I and we are blessed to call them friends.

Bonk

Well, Leah isn't perfect anymore.  We were at a Sunday School picnic Sunday evening when I stepped in a hole and fell.  I was holding Leah and she landed head first on the concrete patio.  Luckily we have 3 doctors in our class, one a pediatrician.  We got ice on it immediately and gave her tylenol right away.  She's got a nice goose egg but so far hasn't shown any signs of a concussion.  When she finished her crying, she was back to her happy-go-lucky self.  It took Mom a little longer to recover...
The bruise and bump are looking good just 2 days after "the incident."  I think she's had a few headaches so we've been staying on top of the tylenol.  I don't think she's holding it against me.

Been gone for awhile...

Sorry, we've been slacking on the posts.  Here's a few pics from this spring.
Leah enjoying the sun while brother plays outside.
Ben was feeling like Rhett's outdoor toys were a little lacking.  So Rhett got a new basketball goal, a sandbox, and some new water toys.
Mother's Day.  This is always graduation at Remington.  The kids napped trough the ceremony and then we went partying.  Ben took me out for dinner the next Thursday night to celebrate alone.  Rhett loved the 2 cute girls Ben arranged to babysit (Thanks Katie and Jessi!)  We ate at Cy's Hoof & Horn Supper Club in downtown Sedgwick, Kansas; where the steaks are cut when you order them.  Mmmmm.
